Frequently Asked Questions:

How does ConferenceShare match me with others?

When you enter your start and end dates, ConferenceShare searches their database to show you others who best match your dates. If they are unable to find a match, you can sign up on their website to receive an email notification when someone matching your travel dates is found.

Who will I be sharing with?

You will be sharing with other ISSWSH/ISSM conference attendees.

Do I have to share with the person ConferenceShare connects me with?

No, you don't have to! ConferenceShare connects you with people, but if you don't feel comfortable with the person you contacted or who contacted you, you are absolutely don't have to share with that person.

Who pays for the hotel room up front? How do people usually work out the logistics?

Those decisions are between you and your share partner. ISSWSH and ConferenceShare are not responsible for the match or any arrangements made using this website.

Do I need to create an account to contact people?

Yes, you need to sign up with ConferenceShare and create a profile and be matched with someone in order to contact people.

What if I snore? (i.e., are there any requirements or expectations of behavior, etc.?)

While we don't mandate how you behave, we request that you be respectful and considerate. If you really do snore loudly or have any other quirks, you should let your share partner know in advance.

Privacy - what will you do with my information?

The privacy of your information is very important to us. ConferenceShare will never share your information with anyone. No ads, no gimmicks.

How much does it cost to use ConferenceShare?

ConferenceShare is free to use for conference attendees.

Once I find someone through ConferenceShare, will my name be removed from appearing in search results?

No, your name will not be removed automatically from the search results because we have no way of knowing if you found a share partner through ConferenceShare. However, you can remove your name by deactivating your account. The deactivation option exists on your ConferenceShare Profile Page.
