Instructional Course 1: Practical Approaches to Atypical cases in PGAD and GPD

This session will define anatomical regions relevant to persistent genital arousal disorder (PGAD) and allodynia and review the pathophysiology of pudendal nerve, sacral plexus, and central sensitization disorders involving the brain and conus medullaris. Participants will integrate this mechanistic understanding to inform evidence-based diagnostic evaluation and targeted treatment strategies. Emphasis will be placed on translating neuroanatomy and pathophysiology into practical clinical approaches for managing complex genital pain and arousal disorders.
Instructional Course 2: Clitoral Ultrasound: Practical Applications

This session will review the clinical indications and evidence base for clitoral ultrasound, including Doppler findings, hormonal and cardiometabolic associations, and microtrauma data. Participants will learn clitoral anatomy as it correlates with sagittal and transverse ultrasound views and develop practical skills in image acquisition using standardized techniques and the ISSWSH Clitoral Ultrasound Protocol. The session will focus on accurate image interpretation, including assessment of anatomy, vascularity, and clitoral length, and on integrating clitoral ultrasound into outpatient practice to inform treatment planning, follow-up, and procedural considerations.
Instructional Course 3: Conversations With the Oncologist: Cancer and Hormones (Estrogen and DHEA Use for the Patient Using Aromatase Inhibitors and Tamoxifen)

This session will review the spectrum and impact of genitourinary syndrome of menopause (GSM) in breast cancer survivors, including effects on quality of life, sexual function, urinary symptoms, and cancer treatment adherence. Participants will examine current evidence on the safety of local vaginal hormone therapies, associated risks of recurrence and mortality, and relevant guideline recommendations for survivors and BRCA previvors. Emphasis will be placed on applying evidence-based, risk–benefit counselling strategies to support informed, patient-centred decision-making in high-risk clinical scenarios.

This session will review the role of testosterone in female physiology and sexual function and summarize current clinical practice guidelines for systemic testosterone use in women’s sexual health. Participants will examine recent evidence on testosterone activity, hormone therapy effects, and associated benefits, risks, and uncertainties. Emphasis will be placed on individualized care and shared decision-making to support evidence-based clinical use of testosterone therapy.
