As Chair of the Scientific Program Committee, it’s an honor for me to invite you to this annual event, which is unique for its rigor and passion. The work of our committee began in February 2026, at the last annual meeting in Long Beach, California, where, together with my co-chair, Dr. Jill Krapf, and over 20 world leaders in women’s sexual health, we gathered to propose ideas, discuss and debate their merits, and begin to give form to the coming year’s meeting. In the months that followed, our committee continued to meet to debate and eventually decide the best topics and speakers to satisfy the very high expectations of ISSWSH members and conference attendees.

Being part of this process has been both an honor and a thrill. Chairing a room full of global leaders in women’s sexual medicine and health, each with their own ideas and questions, looking for the best innovations, the most exciting topics, and the most important contributions that will become the foundation of our collective knowledge and our shared roadmap to helping patients, communities, and societies, has been a challenging adventure.

ISSWSH meetings are known for their interdisciplinary approach, their focus on both applied and basic science, and their consideration of all levels of cause and intervention, from the cell to the individual to the cultures in which we live and work. This year is no exception. So, whether you’re a gynecologist, sex therapist, physical therapist, NP/PA, urologist, psychologist, psychiatrist, advanced in your career or just starting out, and have an interest in working to improve women’s sexual health across cultures and around the world, we’re confident that you will find this a rewarding experience.

On behalf of the Scientific Committee, and all of ISSWSH, I invite you to join us in the amazing city of Vancouver. We are all looking forward to the meeting, first because we always do, and second because we are proud of the program we have created.
